Norfoam® A high purity alumina ceramic foam offers new opportunities and variable insulating properties for a wide range of applications. The unique properties and composition make it suitable to use in areas where fiber or insulating brick material historically were used.
Norfoam® A products are of the highest refractoriness (maximum temperature of 1800°C). The foam’s extreme purity (>99.9% Al2O3) and minimal silica content allow use in applications such as heat treatment furnaces or under severe atmosphere conditions (e.g. furnaces under H2, N2, O2, CO, or other oxidizing or reducing atmospheres). The foam can be installed in furnace roofs, doors or any space where traditional bricks or fiber insulation are too large or heavy. Outstanding thermal shock resistance ensures shorter cycles and potential energy savings.
Norfoam® A products do not contain any fiber materials or organic binders. They are EHS friendly, both in production and application.
